Pre-testing Requirements
Hairy cell leukaemia cells are typically present at low levels in peripheral blood, which may limit assay sensitivity even following B-cell enrichment. Bone marrow aspirate is therefore the preferred specimen for molecular analysis and is recommended whenever available.
Put the sample and the FORM in the Molecular Haematology box with registered lab numbers. Room temperature. Do not spin. DO NOT DELAY .
