Specimens from patients who have received preparations of mouse monoclonal antibodies for diagnosis or therapy may contain human anti-mouse antibodies (HAMA). Such
specimens may show either falsely elevated or depressed values when tested with assay kits that utilize mouse monoclonal antibodies.
