Additional Specimen Information

The pH of fluids can be measured, but it is not possible to measure the pH of solid substances.
Urine: Random or 24 hour urine with no additives.
Other Fluids: No additives. A minimum of 2 mL of fluid.
Faeces: Only possible if centrifugation of the faeces produces a liquid phase.
