Paediatric Specimen Requirements

Specimen Collection:
Samples should be collected into a Streck tube with a butterfly syringe or large gauge needle ONLY
Please gently invert samples 6 times after collection

Transportation Temperature:
Samples should be transported at ambient temperature and received within 7 days of collection. Delays in receipt of sample may compromise the ability to obtain a result.

Photocopy the request form and send with the computer generated form or dispatch note, to the Referral Lab.

Arrange Sub60/Taxi to send sample to IGENZ (use WDHB account).
