This test is available on an urgent basis at North Shore Laboratory, if required, with an expected turnaround time of 3.5 hours. Clinicians must clearly state on the request form if the test is urgent and phone the laboratory (09 486 8328) to notify. Heparin tube (green top) is not suitable. The test is performed at North Shore Laboratory; serum is screened by specific assays for antibodies to PR3 and MPO and positive samples are referred to LabPlus for indirect immunofluorescence.
