Collection instructions:
Prenatal diagnosis. amniotic fluid, chorionic villus, tissues or swabs from intrauterine death (IUD), POC (products of conception), solid tumour.
All samples for cytogenetics must be collected using sterile technique.
Clinical details must be supplied.

Laboratory instruction:
This is NOT the same as molecular karyotype - search under "Molecular Karyotype"

If requestor indicated to be sent to Labplus - PBCH
If requestor indicated to be sent to IGENZ - IPBC

Paediatric specimens must be sent to LabPlus.

DO NOT SPIN. Keep at room temperature (in a chilly bin to maintain stable temperature) OR if being sent the next day please place in fridge overnight.
