Welcome to the Waitematā Surgical Pathology Unit Test Guide.
The Surgical Pathology Unit (SPU) provides Histology and Cytology services for patients of North Shore Hospital, Waitakere Hospital, and the Waitematā Elective Surgery Centre.
Our service operates Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm, with on-call support available for urgent frozen sections outside these hours.
