If the test needs approval from both an immunopathologist at LabPlus and a NZBS transfusion medicine specialist, the requesting doctor must complete the Lifeblood form below and include their contact details on the request form so that laboratory staff can contact them. All requests will require undetectable IgA and history of a previous relevant reaction.
Transport sample at 2-8 °C.

The assay used measures IgG antibodies against IgA1 and IgA2 proteins.
