Urgent GBM requests during normal working hours (8:00am-3:00pm Mon-Fri) must be clearly marked urgent and phoned through to the immunology laboratory. If the request is not phoned the sample will be treated as routine. Urgent GBM requests outside normal working hours are not available onsite at Waitemata DHB. Clinicians must contact LabPlus to get this test pre-approved by the LabPlus Immunopathologist.

The laboratory form should be clearly marked "Send GBM urgently to Labplus as discussed and approved by immunopathologist at LabPlus".
