Laboratory instruction:
C1 Esterase Screen requests will automatically get antigenic testing if the C1 inhibitor functional assay is reduced. C4 is also performed at the same time on the first C1 Esterase inhibitor aliquot. The second aliquot is for the Antigen test should it be required. For Antigenic testing in the absence of a reduced funtional Assay, please contact the immunologist at Lab+.

Spin and separate within 1 hour of collect,
Make two aliquots,
FREEZE both tubes.
