Collection instructions:
Samples should be collected into a sterile container containing either RPMI 1640 (or similar) culture medium or sterile saline.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Prenatal diagnosis. amniotic fluid, chorionic villus, tissues or swabs from intrauterine death (IUD), POC (products of conception), solid tumour.
All samples for cytogenetics must be collected using sterile technique.
Clinical details must be supplied.

Transportation Temperature
Samples should be transported at ambient temperature and received within 24 hours of collection. If there will be a delay in transit, samples may be placed overnight at 4degC.
