Specimen Requirements

Tube/Container Type:

Preferred

• UTM Kit Flocked Swab - Viral

Collection instruction:
Lesion / throat / rectal swab in UTM/VTM swab

Laboratory instruction:
DO NOT use a flimsy flocked swab (such as nasopharyngeal swabs). Please use a thick shaft swab.DO NOT OPEN the specimen bag. Place the labels in the pocket ONLY.
Send to LabPlus by taxi upon arrival.
