Sample collection times:

Trough:
24 hr regime: at least 18hrs after end of infusion of the last dose
48 hrs regime: at least 36 hrs after end of infusion of the last dose

Peak:
For adult: No need testing peak level if use once daily or once every 2 days regime
For neonates: 60 mins after starting infusion, i.e. 30 minutes after end of the 30 mins infusion

Samples sent to Middlemore Hospital Laboratory or LabPlus

If a Trough level result is required prior to next dose, please indicate "Urgent" on the request form.
