Keep samples at room temperature (8 degrees C to 24 degrees C).
Transport
Transport all bloods between 8 degrees C to 24 degrees C within 24-48 hours. Specimens can be refrigerated between 2 degrees C and 8 degrees C overnight.
Registration
Any samples still in the container at the end of the day must be refrigerated.

Additional Specimen Information
A minimum of 0.5ml can be processed. However, sufficient DNA for downstream testing cannot be guaranteed if less than 4.0ml blood is collected. DNA can also be extracted from amniotic fluid, chorionic villus, and tissue samples, as well as from buccal swabs or saliva collected using the ORAcollect kit.
