Specimen Collection:
The patient should be fasting.
Collect an EDTA tube and keep cold by placing in an ice/water slurry for delivery to the laboratory.
Must be received by the lab, separated and frozen within 3 hours of collection. Send to the lab on ice/water slurry.

Send to lab cold in ice/water slurry

Sample preparation:
Minimum of 0.5mL plasma - preferably >1mL required
Transport to Canterbury Health Labs
Send frozen
