  • Collect 4.5ml blood into Plain tube (Red Top).
  • 0.5ml (minimum) frozen serum acceptable.
  • Haemolysed and lipaemic samples cannot be used.

    Transport

    Requires urgent hand delivery to Haematology Department along with a copy of the request form.

    Please register test code HITE.

    Separating

    Plain (red top) tubes: centrifuge 4,300 rpm (3,815g) for 7 minutes.
