- Get urgent sample registration.
Immediately hand deliver all tubes on dry ice (tubes 1 to 5) plus copy of form and numbers to Biochemical Genetics, SCP.
- If samples arrive out of hours or at weekends, all tubes must be immediately placed in -80°C Clinical Trials Freezer 3 Specimen Services (not -20°C).
Please leave a note in Biochemical Genetics box that specimens have been stored there.

CSF - Special tubes are ESSENTIAL for this test.
Request tubes from laboratory - phone 09 307 4949 ext. 22016 about 45mins in advance of CSF tap to arrange pickup of tubes on dry ice.
Send tubes IMMEDIATELY after collection to laboratory on dry ice.
Test requires 5 x 0.5 mL aliquots of CSF collected in CORRECT order. Please review collection instructions provided with tubes.
