Additional Specimen Information

If possible, please try to get the specimen to the laboratory before 1:00pm and notify the laboratory that it is being sent.

Samples stable at ambient temperature for 2 hours.
Samples can be refrigerated for 7 days

Rejection Criteria : non-respiratory samples, swabs, tissues and samples in formalin.
If sputa and BAL/Bronchial Washing received, only the BAL/Bronchial Washing is processed
