Pre-testing Requirements
This test will not be performed without a Thrombophilia testing request form being received. This should be printed out, filled in with the appropriate indication marked and attached to the laboratory request form.

A prothrombin ratio is required for the interpretation of an abnormal result.
If this is not provided by the referring laboratory, it will be performed at LabPlus.
Additional Specimen Information
Collect 1 x 2.7ml Citrate (Blue Cap) or 2 x 1.8ml Citrate (Light Blue Cap).
Paediatric: Collect 2 x 1ml Citrate Microtainer.
