Collection instructions:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Testing available Mon to Friday only.
Specimens MUST BE received in Lab before MIDDAY FRIDAY.
For any other requests after midday Friday the Clinician must have a discussion with the appropriate department at Lab+ before collecting the sample.

Adult - 4 mL
Paed - 0.5 mL

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: For investigation of immunodeficiency- request form will state "phenotype" or "function".

Laboratory instruction:
EDTA - DO NOT SPIN. Store and transport WHOLE BLOOD at room temperature.

Send with a copy of the request form.

EDTA stable for 24 hours.
Heparin stable for 48 hours.
