Additional Specimen Information
All Adult New Acute Leukaemia’s have a trephine collected.
Lymphomas have two trephines collected.
Morphological examination is usually only necessary when the aspirate is inadequate.
Special Haematology staff assist with the collection of the Paediatric Bone Marrows and Adult Bone Marrows.
Special Haematology also process bone marrow slides referred from other hospitals.
